REGISTERED NURSE

Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £19.00-£20.00 per hour

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing high-quality care to the residents of the care home. They will work closely with the care team to assess the needs of the residents, develop care plans, and implement interventions. The RGN will also be responsible for monitoring the residents’ health and providing medication as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assess the needs of the residents and develop care plans.
  • Implement interventions to meet the residents’ needs.
  • Monitor the residents’ health and provide medication as needed.
  • Manage Medications
  • Dress wounds and provide wound care.
  • Take blood samples and perform other diagnostic tests.
  • Provide pain relief and comfort measures.
  • liaising with families and carers.
  • Document care and treatment in accordance with the care home’s policies and procedures.
  • Attend training and development opportunities.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Registered Nurse qualification (RN) – Essential
  • 2+ years of experience working in a care home setting – Desirable
  • EMAR experience – Desirable
  • E Care Planning – Desirable
  • Good understanding of the needs of older adults
  • Excellent clinical skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

HEALTH CARE ASSISTANT

Salary: From £10.42 per hour

We operate two care residences out of Stratford-upon-Avon and take pride in our local reputation that is built upon delivering care solutions that are focused on the individual.

Our carers are responsible in providing in accordance with best practice and legislative requirements, reflecting policies and procedures and agreed standards under the direction of the Senior Carer/Nurse. To support and enable service users to maintain skills and personal interests while delivering person-centred care unique to each individual. To maintain skills at a current level and undertake such training and development as required, from time-to-time, to maintain and progress knowledge

Your day to day tasks may include:

  • Assisting residents shower and get dressed.
  • Assisting residents to eat.
  • Making beds.
  • Using equipment to lift and move residents.
  • Talking to residents and reassuring them.
  • Assisting residents to the toilet.
  • Tidying the residents rooms and communal areas.
  • Taking residents temperature or pulse.
  • Attending meetings with other healthcare professionals.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have good written and spoken communication skills.
  • Have the ability to relate to people from a wide range of backgrounds.
  • Have the ability to handle residents with sensitivity and respect.
  • Have great observational skills.
